On September 25th, 2025, the AURORA project will participate in the official side event Towards MONDIACULT, organized by the ANCHISE project in the lead-up to the UNESCO MONDIACULT 2025 conference.
This online event, scheduled from 16:00 to 17:30 CET, brings together three European research initiatives — AURORA, ANCHISE, and ENIGMA — all committed to combating the illicit trafficking of cultural goods through innovative technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Each project coordinator will present their respective approaches, ranging from chemical markers and digital identities to AI-powered provenance tracking and blockchain-based systems. The session will conclude with a roundtable discussion featuring selected partners from all three consortia, offering insights into field applications, policy relevance, and future directions.
AURORA is proud to contribute to this dialogue, reinforcing the importance of scalable, science-driven solutions for heritage protection on a global stage.
