The AURORA project made its mark on December 14 and 15 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, taking center stage during a two-day training organized by Marcia Almada at the Escola de Belas Artes UFMG (LaGrafi/Cecor). The training focused on the utilization of innovative materials and methods for conserving cellulose-based cultural heritage.

The event garnered enthusiastic, attentive, and passionate participants, making it a truly enjoyable experience.

Training sessions covered a spectrum of topics, including theoretical insights into gels, poultices, microemulsions, and nanocellulose. Practical activities involved the application of these new materials to selected mock-ups and relevant case studies. Engaging discussions unfolded, addressing the complexities of handling objects and the challenges of acquiring and integrating these innovative materials into conservation treatments, particularly in a tropical climate.
